Nicholas is a passionate and dedicated educator, specializing in building sound technical foundations and developing young people into confident, musical young adults. He has completed Suzuki violin training for Books 1 through 10 and continues to pursue further professional development. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Performance from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston and a Master of Music in Performance and Pedagogy from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, where he expects to complete his doctorate in 2028.
Before returning to Houston to join the Paganini School of Music, Nicholas served on the faculty of the Peabody Preparatory, teaching both violin and viola. He has performed at leading summer festivals including Aspen, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Meadowmount School of Music, Texas Music Festival, and Sewanee. His teachers include the distinguished pedagogues Victoria Chiang and Rebecca Henry, and Wayne Brooks.
Nicholas creates welcoming, energetic learning environments where students look forward to playing. Outside of teaching, he enjoys cooking, yoga, and good stationery.
