Suzuki Violin Group Class

Level: Suzuki Book 1-10

Instructor: Susan Raguse


Suzuki Violin Group Class is a required portion of the Suzuki Method at the Paganini School. Students focus on ensemble skills while reinforcing their technique through regular review of all of their Suzuki Repertoire in a fun, supportive environment with their peers.


Classes are structured by Book Levels.

First Year Orchestra Training (Violin/Viola)

Grade: 4th-5th Graders

Instructor: Dixie Addington, Susan Raguse


A weekly class offered for older elementary age children interested in joining orchestra in Middle School! This is a great way to get an introduction to string playing by experienced pedagogues. This class will use commonly used literature from Katy ISD, such as the Essential Element Series, Master Theory, and others.  (Class size 6-10)

Etude/Scale/Repertoire Class (Cello)

Level: 10:00am-11:00am

This is a year-round course, geared toward high school students who are interested in participating in Texas Region and All-State orchestras. Special emphasis will be made on not only learning the etudes and excerpts, but a more comprehensive understanding through scales, performance/audition technique,  and the general skills required to build fluency on the cello. (class size 6-10)

 This is a semester long course, geared toward high school students who are interested in participating in Texas Region and All-State orchestras. Special emphasis will be made on not only learning the etudes and excerpts, but a more comprehensive understanding though scales, performance/audition technique,  and the general skills required to build fluency on the violin. (class size 6-10)

Rococo Ensemble

Level: Suzuki Book 2-3, ages 7-10

The concept of this class is to provide a social and educational outlet for students in elementary taking private lessons to meet and rehearse on a regular basis with their peers. Students focus on both ensemble skills, technique and cooperation in a group setting.  Performances at local community centers and retirement homes will be scheduled. (class size 8-12)

Level: Suzuki Book 4-5, ages 7-10

Cello and Me

 A young child's 1st year guide to playing the cello.  

Saturdays: 9:00am-10:00am

Age: Kindergarten - 3rd Grade

Instructor: Dr. Daniel Saenz


The first steps of playing the cello, note reading, and basic musicianship will be taught in this course.

The young cellist will learn these elements through group and individual instruction, culminating in an end of year performance. Homework and individual home practice is expected. Parent participation required. This class is geared for ages 5-8.
