Martin Dimitrov - Violin

 Mr. Dimitrov offers 18 years of experience teaching private lessons.  He is a student of Sergiu Luca, with whom he completed his masters at Rice University, himself a student of Ivan Galamian, whose teaching methods and concepts he employs to help achieve the success of his students. Mr. Dimitrov has also studied with Kevork Mardirossian at LSU and has participated in the masterclasses of Erich Friedman, Yfrah Neaman, Paul Kantor and Camilla Wickes. 

Mr. Dimitrov has won numerous first prizes in national competitions in Bulgaria and is the winner of the 2004 Monroe Symphony Concerto Competition. He has subbed with the Houston Symphony and Ballet and was formerly the Associate Concertmaster of the Baton Rouge Symphony. 

As orchestra director at The Village School, Mr. Dimitrov has been a regular judge and a coach of TMEA and TPSEMA Region and All-State and has served as the TPSMEA VP for the Orchestra division. Under his guidance, his students accomplished #1 ranked violinist in Texas Music Educator’s Association (TMEA) All-State and the #1 and #2 ranked violinists, and #2 ranked cellist in the Texas Private School Music Educator’s Association. Mr. Dimitrov is currently pursuing Texas Educators certification while maintaining a growing private studio.
