Iuliia (pronounced Yulia) Fetysenko, a native of Ukraine, started to play violin at the age of 5. During her secondary school years she performed solo pieces and concertos with several Ukrainian symphonic and chamber orchestras and took part in different Ukrainian competitions. In 2016, Ms. Fetysenko graduated with a Bachelors of Music in violin performance from the Tchaikovsky National Musical Academy in Ukraine.
In 2017, Ms. Fetysenko was accepted into the Cleveland Institute of Music. Intrigued and fascinated by the Suzuki Method, she decided to become a double major in violin performance and Suzuki pedagogy. During this time, she began developing and practicing her teaching skills, using both the Suzuki Method, as well as traditional. In 2019, Ms. Fetysenko graduated with a Masters Degree in violin performance and Suzuki pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute of Music (studio of Kathleen Winkler and Kimberly Meyer-Sims), fully certified to teach Suzuki Book 1 – 10. Since graduation, she has worked as a Suzuki Violin Director for the Dorothy Gerber String Program in Michigan.
Ms. Fetysenko will be heading the Violin Suzuki Program at the Paganini School of Music starting in August 2022.
