Danbe Lee, Cello

Suzuki Certified instructor, Ms. Danbe Lee is praised as a caring and dedicated teacher by students and school directors alike. Besides running her private studio of traditional and Suzuki method students, she is also a faculty member of British International School of Houston and Memorial Middle School, and very excited to join the faculty at Paganini School of Music this year. 

Ms. Danbe Lee has recently received her second Master’s degree in Cello Performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and prior to her move to Houston, she completed both BM and MM degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she completed her Suzuki training with Dr. Melissa Kraut. Her major cello teachers include Desmond Hoebig and Stephen Geber, both former principal cellists of the Cleveland Orchestra.  

In addition to teaching, Ms. Lee is an active performer. She has appeared in chamber concerts throughout greater Houston area with Kinetic Ensemble, Texas New Music Ensemble, Shepherd School of Music and others, as well as concerts at festivals such as Texas Music Festival, Kent/Blossom Music Festival, and Yellow Barn. She has also performed in numerous orchestras and festivals across the USA and abroad, working with some of the finest conductors, such as Marin Alsop, Charles Dutoit, Valery Gergiev, Zubin Mehta, Michael Tilson Thomas and others.
