Covid-19 Re-entry Update
In-Person (with Strict PPE Guidelines) or Online Private Lessons
Before leaving home:
Parents should take their own and their child’s temperature before leaving the house. Normal temps should range between 97 and 99. Do not come to the school if you or your child’s temperature is greater than this. Your teacher will be more than happy to teach you via Zoom or Skype that day. Other symptoms that would preclude you from coming to the school:
Runny nose
Persistent cough
Sore throat
Diarrhea
Entering the building:
1. One parent per student. No additional siblings.
2. Limited Building Use: Families must wait in their cars until 5 minutes before their lessons and must leave immediately after their lessons. Social interactions with other families have to take place outside of the building.
3. Families will enter the building and wait in the Paganini Parlor for their private teacher. When their teacher calls the student, the teacher will take the child and parent's temperatures and sanitize their hands before entering the teacher's room. We ask that parents of older children (8 and up) wait in their car to help us minimize the number of people in the facility after their child enters their lesson. (Facetime is also a possibility for parents wanting to watch in from their car.)
4. PPE must be worn at all times inside the building.
Other:
If a student lives in the same household with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19:
Continued Vigilance and Awareness:
We will keep an eye on best practices for our student and teacher population, to make sure we are doing everything we can to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment. It is our hope that we will be able to move in the continued direction of relaxation of COVID-19 safety protocols and will announce them as they make sense.
Thank you for everyone's patience and understanding as we return to a new "normal" for music instruction at the Paganini School of Music.
Sincerely,
Sam Matthews, director
